Megalithic Art
Irish megalithic art dates from the Neolithic or Late Stone age also known as the Megalithic Era, the time when the great Megalithic Monuments such as Newgrange were constructed across the land. In mythology these mounds were known as the Brú, the house of the Túatha Dé Danann, the mystical spirit people or Sídhe who carved their mysterious messages on the stones over 5,000 years ago.
